==Notes== In the world of Muramasa, since ages of old, blacksmiths have been able to forge weapons known as the Tsurugi. The creation of a Tsurugi requires a tsurugi blacksmith to forge an armor, and then through a ritualistic technique, become one with the tsurugi. The blacksmith's soul is then transferred into the tsurugi as its OS. Though most OS operate like a regular machine, the OS of masterpiece tsurugi usually retain the consciousness and personality of the blacksmiths, their spirits intact. When out of combat, the tsurugi usually takes the form of something else, in the case of Muramasa, it's a crimson spider. Though it is possible for the consciousness-retained tsurugi to fight by themselves, it is foolhardy as they are unable to operate at full power. They require a user, and a tsurugi-user is known as a Musha. When the Musha takes the Soukou no Kamae stance, both the Musha and Tsurugi fuses into 1 being. It is then that they are able to operate at 100% capacity. The Tsurugi operates all system-related issues, which includes radar, regeneration, etc. while the Musha controls the tsurugi's movements as well as provide the calories required to perform Shinogi attacks. Shinogi are unique abilities that a tsurugi possesses, which are outside the law of nature. Each tsurugi normally possesses one shinogi unique to itself. Overuse of calories will result in "freezing", which will cause the OS to fail, and all that's left is death. As the ages pass, new technology allows the mass production of tsurugi without the need to sacrifice a blacksmith. In return for the ability for mass production, the new tsurugis' abilities are much lower, and they do not possess any shinogi. Users of new tsurugi are called Ryukihei. The new tsurugi are called Kazuuchi, while the old are called Shinuchi. Kazuuchi are also unable to regenerate from damage, and are closer to actual machines than Shinuchi. For western names, Shinuchi = Blood Crus, Kazuuchi = Red Crus, Musha = Crusader, Ryukihei = Dragoon, Shinogi = Outlaw. The size of a tsurugi is usually no larger than 3m, as they're technically donned armor. In the world of Muramasa, they are considered the strongest type of weapon in the world, stronger than conventional weapons like tanks and planes, able to destroy any of those in 1 hit with their tsurugi-enhanced weapons. It's probably impossible for any of the tsurugi to work properly in space except for Muramasa (Kotetsu) & Ginseigou, Hakkenki & Konjin as the latter group can manipulate gravity. Of course... none of this really stopped Boss Borot. The overall abilities and destructive power of Tsurugi is best compared to around the level of Aura Battlers, from the times they've been used from Byston Well to Earth. In the final battle however, Muramasa and Ginseigou has proven to show force rivalling super robots. Combat between tsurugi is usually based on both skill and ability, though it weighs much more heavily on the former than the latter, as it is possible for even a war veteran in a Kazuuchi to overpower a less skilled user in a Shinuchi (Dragoon vs Muramasa for example). Literally meaning "Good Evil Both Kill". Muramasa was forged under that principle. "Justice" only exists depending on one's perspective. War exists because one side is trying to trying to push their justice onto the opposing side. That is known as Dokuzen (Solitary Good"), and that is true "Evil". When the perspective changes, that interpretation of Justice can be reversed. Thus, in every Good, there is Evil, and in every Evil, there most certainly is Good. If one understands this principle, one will always cut both good and evil in a single strike, but for people who kills someone who is designated as an enemy, thus Evil, they will be forced to kill someone they see as Good in order to preserve the balance. This "curse" is something every user of Muramasa has to bear.
